I think Gaddafi is a leader who is clearly under the illusion that he is still in control of his country. There is no doubt that he still has supporters, but the majority of the people in the country do not ‘love’ him. It would be in his best interests to step down as quickly as possible. Holding onto power is only prolonging the agony for himself and his family.
